women\u2019s empowerment? How does one empower a woman?<\/b><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">When we look closely and deeply at these questions, we begin to see the different aspects, roles, dimensions, and qualities that make up a woman\u2019s nature and life. In contemporary discourse, empowerment in this context refers to the various dimensions through which a woman gains agency, strength, autonomy, and the ability to make choices in her life. In that sense, these dimensions may be articulated as <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Sharirika<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> (Physical-Biological Empowerment), <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Manasika&nbsp;<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">(Emotional-Psychological Empowerment),&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Bauddhika<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> (Intellectual Empowerment), <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Samajika<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> (Social Empowerment), <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Arthika<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> (Economic Empowerment), and <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Adhyatmika<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> (Spiritual Empowerment) <\/span><i style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Yogyata<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> or <\/span><i style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Shakti<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Bhartiya sciences and darshanas would also sequence these dimensions differently. The ordering usually moves from the most subtle and foundational dimensions of the human being to the more external expressions of life. It is the inner orientation that governs outer conduct. Thus, the order often proceeds from <b>Adhyatma \u2192 Buddhi \u2192 Manas \u2192 Sharira \u2192 social and material domains.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><u>Woman is already empowered<\/u><\/h3>\n<p>B<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">eginning with <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Adhyatma<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">, a woman stands as the focal anchor of the family or the family system. As far as <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Buddhi<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> is concerned, Sri Krishna himself describes the intellect in women as his own manifestation. In the <\/span><i style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Bhagavad Gita<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">, while explaining his presence throughout the world and within creation, he declares that among women he is intellect:<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"><span lang=\"HI\" style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; mso-ansi-font-size: 18.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Kokila',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HI;\">\u0915\u0940\u0930\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0903 \u0936\u094d\u0930\u0940\u0930\u094d\u0935\u093e\u0915\u094d\u091a \u0928\u093e\u0930\u0940\u0923\u093e\u0902 \u0938\u094d\u092e\u0943\u0924\u093f\u0930\u094d\u092e\u0947\u0927\u093e \u0927\u0943\u0924\u093f\u0903 \u0915\u094d\u0937\u092e\u093e\u0964\u0964&nbsp;<\/span><\/b>(Vibhooti Yoga, 10.34)<\/h4>\n<p>Of women I am prosperity (Sri); I am fame (Kirti); I am speech (Vak); I am memory (Smrti); I am intelligence (Medha); I am endurance&nbsp;(Dhrti); and I am forgiveness (Ksama).<\/p>\n<p><b>Manas<\/b> and <b>Sharira<\/b>, which follow intellect in this sequence, are the forte of Ayurveda. Within <b>Manas-<\/b> the emotional&nbsp;and psychological realm- and <b>Sharira <\/b>-the biological and physical realm- lies the key to a woman\u2019s holistic health.<\/p>\n<p>Ayurveda provides the means to achieve or manifest the empowerment of both mind and body. Health and bodily empowerment, in this context, does not merely mean freedom from bodily exploitation or violence, nor does it limit itself to autonomy over one\u2019s body or sexual choices. It goes deeper and speaks of true awareness of, and alignment with, one\u2019s own body and health. The key to a woman\u2019s holistic health lies in a well-regulated reproductive system. In Ayurveda, this regulation is supported through the practice of <b>\u0930\u091c\u0938\u094d\u0935\u0932\u093e \u092a\u0930\u093f\u091a\u0930\u094d\u092f\u093e<\/b>, the Ayurveda-prescribed menstruation routine or regimen.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2996\" data-end=\"3027\">&nbsp;Ayurveda&#8217;s Tool of Empowerment<\/h3>\n<p>It does not ask or expect women to withdraw; it equips them to remain prepared and empowered. It is not instant gratification that is temporary and short-lived. It is not a quick glow-up or a fleeting fix. It is transformation.
