Setup:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u2022Place the Pallanguzi board on a table. It has 14 pits (7 on each side). Each player faces seven pits on their side of the board.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022Place seven seeds (or small stones, shells, or similar items) in each pit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022The goal is to gather the most seeds by the end of the game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Gameplay:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1.Starting a Turn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022Players decide who will go first, then take turns. On a player\u2019s turn, they choose one of their pits that still has seeds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022The player picks up all the seeds in that pit and starts dropping them, one by one, into the consecutive pits in a clockwise direction (including the opponent\u2019s pits).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

2.Continuing Seed Placement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022If the last seed in hand lands in a pit with seeds, the player picks up all the seeds in that pit and continues dropping them in the next pits, in a clockwise motion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

3.Ending a Turn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022The turn ends when the last seed lands in an empty pit. If this pit is on the player\u2019s side, they capture the seeds from the opponent\u2019s opposite pit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022If the last seed lands in an empty pit on the opponent\u2019s side, no capture occurs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

4.Game End:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022The game continues until a player cannot make a move because all their pits are empty.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

5.Winning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2022The player with the most seeds collected at the end of the game wins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
